“Cities have committed to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions and implement climate-change adaptation measures. Since, in practice, the planning of adaptation measures is a complex process we explore the maximum potential benefit that can be gained through adaptation measures for the city of Brussels. More specifically,  the effect of changes in albedo and vegetation fraction on the summer climate in terms of heat waves and the urban heat island for the city of Brussels.”
